Air France named leading European airlines for its business class at World Travel Awards

On 22 October 2021 in London, Air France received the award for Europe’s Leading Airline for its Business Class at the 28th World Travel Awards ceremony.

These annual awards are a prestigious event that rewards actors in the travel, tourism and hospitality sectors. The awards, recognised as a mark of excellence within the industry, are based on a wide-ranging vote by customers and tourism industry experts. Over 2 million votes were cast for the 2021 awards.

In the current crisis context, all Air France staff have doubled their efforts to adapt our products and services while aiming for the highest possible levels of quality. They have constantly strived to maintain the ties and the caring attitude that our customers expect. This award represents millions of votes illustrating our customers’ attachment and trust in our company. In this exceptional context, this award represents a real achievement and is a source of collective pride“, said Fabien Pelous, Air France Customer Experience SVP.

The Air France Protect programme introduced by the airline has made it possible to guarantee its customers the highest standards of health and safety throughout their trip, as well as commercial flexibility, which gives them greater peace of mind when preparing their trip.

In addition, Air France has chosen to maintain its investments in fleet renewal and aircraft cabin refurbishment. In the long-haul Business cabin, it offers a new definition of comfort with seats that transform into real lie-flat beds on board its Boeing B777, B787, Airbus A350 and A330 aircraft. By the end of the year, the entire fleet of Boeing 777-300s dedicated to the French overseas territories, Caribbean and Indian Ocean will also be equipped with new seats for even greater comfort on board.

Air France’s move upmarket also continues as soon as customers arrive at the airport, in the airline’s lounges. After the opening of its new international lounge at Paris-Orly in January 2020, Air France inaugurated one of its largest lounges in terminal 2F at Paris-Charles de Gaulle last August. This 3,000 sq. m. lounge offers Business and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers a moment of calm and serenity at the heart of the airport.

Air France intends to continue its investments and the attention it pays to all its customers in order to always offer everyone the best possible travel experience.
