KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will take various measures (some supplementing existing measures) to ensure that customers who book a flight with KLM get their summer holidays off to a good start, despite persistent operational challenges at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol due to the shortage of airport security staff. The measures will take effect from today through 28 August. Work pressure at the airport is currently relentless as Schiphol and KLM are both faced with staff shortages. International Travel Drives May Air Traffic Recovery

Geneva - The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced passenger data for May 2022 showing that the recovery in air travel accelerated heading into the busy Northern Hemisphere summer travel season. Note: We have returned to year-on-year traffic comparisons, instead of comparisons with the 2019 period, unless otherwise noted. Owing to the low traffic base in 2021, some markets will show very high year-on-year growth rates, even if the size of these markets is still significantly smaller than they were in 2019. Total traffic in May 2022 (measured in revenue passenger kilometers or RPKs) was up 83.1% compared to May 2021, largely driven by the strong recovery in international traffic. Air France continues to renew its fleet and takes delivery of its 10th Airbus A220-300

Air France continues to integrate latest-generation aircraft, with an improved economic and environmental performance, into its fleet. By 2030, these aircraft will make up 70% of the Air France fleet - compared to 7% today – thanks to an ambitious investment plan of one billion euros per year. The tenth A220-300 Today, the company has reached a symbolic milestone, with the arrival of its 10th Airbus A220-300, the latest jewel in its medium-haul fleet. The aircraft, with registration number F-HZUJ, left the Airbus assembly line in Mirabel (Quebec) to join Paris-Charles de Gaulle, where it will operate the company’s short and medium-haul flights.
