KLM unveils new cabin class: Premium Comfort

Premium Comfort is an entirely new inflight class with its own cabin, offering a new type of seats as well as distinctive service and catering concepts. Depending on the aircraft type, the capacity of Premium Comfort Class will vary from 21 to 28 seats, which will be wider than standard seats, offering more legroom, a larger screen and a footrest. Premium Comfort seats can also recline further than Economy Class seats. KLM’statement on busy holiday weekend and related cancellations on 29-30th of April and 1st of May

KLM has cancelled up to 47 flights (roundtrips and one way) for coming Saturday and Sunday. Earlier, KLM already announced the cancellation of a total of 28 round trip flights for Friday. These cancellations need to contribute to our effort to offer most of our customers a pleasant start and return of their journey. Cancelling flights needs to contribute to the request of Schiphol to keep processes manageable at the airport because of their staff shortage. Cancelling flights and adjusting KLM’s flight schedules also helps controlling our own workload. KLM’s flight schedule will be optimized throughout the weekend. KLM and Thalys make train travel more appealing to intercontinental and European transfer passengers

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Thalys have closed an agreement to continue developing their joint AirRail product with a view to making it more appealing to customers. The aim is to increase the number of passengers with connecting KLM flights at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol who travel from Brussels – and back – by train. For some time now, KLM has offered transfer passengers the option of boarding a Thalys high-speed train instead of a flight on the Brussels-Schiphol leg of their journey (or vice versa). Before the Covid-19 pandemic, 20 to 25% of these passengers (some 36,000 customers) chose this option.
