KLM further expands approach for Sustainable Aviation Fuel

LM will start adding 0.5% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for flights departing from Amsterdam. In addition, KLM will offer its customers the option of purchasing an extra amount of sustainable fuel. In this manner, KLM aims to stimulate the market for SAF. The face of travel is set to change in the future and SAF will play an essential role in this regard. KLM Group chooses Airbus A320neo family for KLM and Transavia’s European fleet

A key aspect of KLM’s post-Covid-19 restructuring strategy is the further renewal of its European fleet with a new and more efficient generation of European aircraft. Today KLM announced that it has opted for the Airbus A320neo family, taking an important step forward in fleet renewal and the further enhancement of operational sustainability. The KLM Group’s order forms part of a memorandum of understanding that the Air France-KLM Group has signed for a total of 100 aircraft of the A320neo family, plus an option on 60 additional aircraft of the same type. These aircraft are intended for KLM as well Transavia Netherlands and Transavia France. From late 2023, these new A320neo/A321neo aircraft will begin replacing KLM and Transavia’s existing Boeing 737 NG aircraft on European routes....

Bella Italia: KLM to serve more Italian destinations through a new codeshare agreement with ITA

KLM and the Italian airline ITA Airways have signed a new codeshare agreement. The agreement will enable passengers to book KLM tickets to ITA's European destinations and ITA customers will be able to book tickets to KLM's European destinations. KLM and ITA will also facilitate easy transfers for passengers at Rome Fiumicino and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.  The agreement will give KLM customers access to more destinations in Italy and other ITA destinations in south-east Europe. The partnership will allow KLM customers to book tickets to eight new destinations in Southern Europe. KLM passengers will be able to fly with ITA via Rome to Palermo, Reggio Calabria, Bari, Brindisi, Lamezia Terme and Trieste in Italy, to Malta, and to the Albanian city of Tirana.
